To date, over 60 critically endangered ancient trees in Jizhou district have undergone restoration. Issues such as tree holes, trunk cracks, exposed roots and broken branches are repaired – the holes are filled, trunks supported and disease and pests prevented to restore growth. Through these protective measures, the growth lifespan of the ancient trees can be effectively extended.

Jizhou district has also introduced new information technology for ancient tree conservation, installing monitoring probes on nine ancient trees to realize real-time dynamic management, promptly identifying and resolving issues as they arise.

In addition to these restorative and preventive actions, the local Jizhou authority has produced documentary and photo albums for the local ancient trees, which has not only raised public awareness of protecting tree resources but also become an ecological initiative of Jizhou district to attract more tourists from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
