The Northern Shaolin martial art of Jizhou district originated in the Northern Shaolin Temple located in the Panshan Mountain area and has influenced regions such as Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong, and Shanxi. It has now become a favored means of maintaining health and enriching leisure time.
Bangjun Zi baked pancakes and Yipin Shaobing making techniques
Bangjun Zi baked pancakes and Yipin Shaobing (sesame seed baked flat bread) reflect the ancient dietary culture characteristics of Jizhou district. They use refined flour, fragrant sesame oil, mixed with Sichuan peppercorn and salt as fillings. It is flat and round in shape, wheat-yellow in color, coated with sesame seeds on the outside, and has a sweet and crispy taste.
Xingtaide distilled liquor brewing process
The distillery named "Xingtaide" could date to the early years of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Despite several changes over the years, the distillery has consistently adhered to traditional brewing techniques, maintaining the characteristics of aged liquor with a prominent cellar aroma, mellow and harmonious taste, and a smooth and refreshing sweetness.

The art of leather shadow puppet carving in Jizhou district has a history of several hundred years. It uses donkey hide as the material for carving various figures, animals, buildings, and then coloring and brushing them with tung oil. The props include carts, boats, sedan chairs, horses, cities, tables, chairs, mountains, clouds, houses, trees, knives, guns and animals.

The Dule Temple Fair originated in the Liao Dynasty (916-1125), and by now has a history of over a thousand years. The fair is rich in content, incorporating folk performances, literary and artistic shows, local specialty snacks, and craft exhibitions and sales.
