Tianjin's Jizhou district, integrating mountains, forests, lakes and wetlands, is a nationally designated key ecological functional area and also an important water source area for Tianjin. In 2022, it was awarded the title of "China's Natural Oxygen Bar," making it the first and only area in Tianjin to receive this honor.

The ecological and climatic resources in Jizhou are excellent. The comfortable climate period here lasts for 6 months each year, making Jizhou suitable for tourism and vacations throughout the year. The high concentration of negative oxygen ions in the region provides visitors fresh and pleasant air, which is beneficial to their health and far exceeds the World Health Organization's standards for fresh air. For 76.1 percent of days per year, the air quality is rated as "excellent".
Meanwhile, Jizhou district has huge natural tourism resources. These resources and numerous cultural relics and historical sites have formed a distinctive tourism landscape.
The area boasts numerous high-quality scenic spots, with 13 scenic areas rated at or above A level. It is also home to unique tourist attractions such as the longest 7D glass suspension bridge in Asia, Chunshanli, "Eden" in Jizhou and the popular "Sky Eye" destination in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. It is often referred to as the "backyard garden" of the Beijing-Tianjin area.

The green industry also develops rapidly here. Jizhou adheres to the ecological priority and green development, fully leveraging the abundant local specialty resources to create a cluster of green industries, forming a green industrial economic circle. The total area of green food bases in the entire region has reached 171,400 mu, with a total of 32 labeled products of green and organic foods, including six types of nationally recognized geographical indication products.
