During the Tomb-Sweeping Day holiday, which fell on April 4 to 6 this year, Tianjin's Jizhou district received a total of 847,000 visitors, with a comprehensive income of 300 million yuan ($41.46 million).

Flower-viewing and outings were popular. During the holiday, the peach blossoms, apricot blossoms, and forsythia blossoms were all in full bloom, painting spring scenes in Jizhou district. A total of five tourism routes for flower-viewing were recommended to visitors.
In addition, rural leisure tourism was highly favored. Experiencing the tranquility of rural accommodations, enjoying the pastoral scenery, and picking fresh fruits in greenhouses became the first choice for many visitors.
Meanwhile, integrating the local traditional culture with the tourism resources, Jizhou district conducted a rich variety of folk performances and the displays of local intangible cultural heritage products.
Going forward, Jizhou is expected to organize more cultural and tourism events to attract tourists from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, promoting the tourism to and economic development of the region.
