Jizhou district, located in the northern part of Tianjin and in the middle of the four cities of Beijing, Tianjin, Tangshan and Chengde, has the reputation of being "the garden of Beijing and Tianjin". As a result, the local development of rural tourism has unique advantages.
Since 2015, the Tianjin Municipal Administration of Sports has given full play to the innovation of the new model of "sports +" to accelerate rural revitalization and has built hiking trails in the mountainous area of Jizhou, so as to help local people improve their living conditions and meet their fitness needs.

Over the past few years, through the joint efforts of the local governments, a total of 33 million yuan (about $4.62 million) has been invested in the construction of 67 hiking trails, with a total length of more than 130 kilometers, across 53 tourist villages and in 10 towns and townships in the northern mountainous areas.

The Tianjin Municipal Administration of Sports will further combine the development needs of sports tourism, make good use of the hiking trails - which provide a place for people's leisure and fitness, drive residents to actively participate in outdoor sports, and promote the development of eco-tourism across the whole district.
