Jizhou district's culture and tourism administration recently provided Bed and Breakfast (B&B) hotels in the district with new books written by local writers in a bid to promote culture and integrate development of culture and tourism.
"I would like to introduce these books and information about Tianjin's writers to my guests, and the books will help them know more about Jizhou through a lot of cultural stories," said Gao Xiaoshuang, a B&B hotel owner.
"It is a good experience to find so many books about Jizhou at the hotel. They allow me to learn more about the history and culture of Jizhou while I am here to relax," commented a tourist.
"Jizhou has a very deep history and culture, and we serve as a platform to enable tourists to access it," Gao added.
A total of 1,196 books by 13 local writers, including Yin Xueyun, winner of the Lu Xun Literature Award and chairman of the Tianjin Writers Association, have been distributed so far to 164 B&B hotels.
These local culture-themed books at B&B hotels are for an increasing number of tourists, and will help them understand the customs and culture of Jizhou while they enjoy its marvelous mountain and river landscapes.
